At Play & Learn in Sutton Coldfield we want your child to reach their full potential as a successful, motivated learner. In achieving this goal, our practitioners are our greatest resource. Your child’s key person will use a child centred approach, planning experiences and activities to your child’s current interests, learning style and level of understanding. This approach makes learning interesting and rewarding, increasing your child’s confidence and helping her or him to develop positive attitudes towards lifelong learning.
Arranged over two floors, our four departments and soft play room at SuttonColdfield
are purpose designed and equipped to encourage learning through play. At Derby
we have a single storey building with 2 departments, but designed and equipped just the same.
Natural light floods into the open plan learning areas which are spacious and well organised, with a wealth of easily accessible toys and equipment, chosen to support all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Outside the emphasis on learning continues. Our garden is our ‘out-door classroom’ and used to promote healthy physical development, language, numbers and science. Your child will enjoy quiet play, sand and water fun, digging in the bark kitchen, gardening, watching mini beasts in the wildlife pond as well as climbing frames and space for running jumping and bike riding.
Younger children have a specially built terrace equipped with outdoor toys, a little climbing frame, and soft mats are laid down so even our smallest babies enjoy the fresh air.
