Funding choices
Free Childcare Places
All families of 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to receive 15 hours free childcare, while some may receive 30 hours.
Some families with two-year-olds may also be entitled to 15 hours free childcare.
This funding begins the term after the child’s eligible birthday.
When in receipt of the 30 hours funding, families will need to ensure their details are updated every three months with the government to continue receiving this funding and have an in-date eligibility code.
Delivery of the Free Hours
At Play & Learn Nursery we stretch the entitlement over 51 weeks of the year, which means providing childcare during the school holidays.
15 hours Entitlement
570 hours per year over 51weeks = 11.17 hours per week
30 hours Entitlement
1140 hours per year over 51 weeks = 22.35 hours per week

When paying for our standard childcare packages, all meals are included in the monthly fee.
Extras
During the year we like to arrange various additional activities to enhance the child’s nursery experience. Such as; Nursery/room trips, cooking, Yoga, Forest school experience and Christmas pantomimes.
These activities may come with additional charges, relevant to the cost of the activity
Participation is not mandatory, and families will be notified in advance where charges apply.

Q: Can I split the funding between providers?
A: Yes, you can, families can split the offer between multiple childcare providers, although this is limited to a maximum of two per day. If families choose to do this, they will need to provide each setting with their eligibility code and information
Q: How do I find out if I am eligible for a funded space?
A: You need to go onto ‘childcare choices’ on the government website, follow the instructions to check or set up your account, please remember to go onto your account every three months to update your eligibility and maintain your code.
